There is some question whether the dark area is an oil leak or the shadow of the plane above.  During the mission 6 aircraft of the 6BG were damaged, but all returned.

The first crew of this aircraft appears to have been Crew #2407.

The crew chief for this airplane was probably T/Sgt William R. Smith
